Mini-Golf FAQ

Mini-golf (or mini-putt) is a scaled-down version of golf, where the aim is to get the ball into the hole in as few strokes as possible.

The aim of mini-golf is to complete the course with as few strokes as possible. Here are a few tips to improve your score:

  • Analyze the course before hitting: Observe obstacles and the slope to anticipate the ball’s trajectory.
  • Control your strength: Too strong a shot can send the ball off-course, while too weak a shot can stop it before the hole.
  • Use bounces intelligently: Use the edges of the course to get around obstacles.
  • Concentrate on accuracy: Aim for the center of the hole, with the right amount of power.
  • Stay calm and patient: Rushing often leads to mistakes.

The rules of mini-golf may vary slightly depending on the course and the players, but the main ones are:

Maximum number of strokes: A player has a maximum of 7 strokes per hole. If the ball doesn’t go in, they record the maximum score.

Out of bounds: If the ball goes off the course, it must be placed back at the point where it went out, with a one-stroke penalty.

Unpassable obstacle: If the ball is stuck, the player can move it back to the starting point with a one-stroke penalty.

Player order: Players take turns according to an order set at the beginning of the game.

Ball contact: The putter may only hit the ball once per stroke. No pushing or repeated contact is allowed.
